Assos

Once the site of Aristotle`s famous School of Philosophy, Assos was a bustling center of intellectual life in its day. Now the village of Behramkale atop the hill on whose slopes the ancient town lies is a popular getaway for its archaeological ruins and cosy boutique hotels with fireplaces.

Ayvalik

Ayvalik on the splendid shores of the Aegean is a perennial holiday destination for its narrow streets redolent of olive oil, its unspoiled islands, its natural beauty and its original cuisine. And the street with Taksiyarhis (Archangel) Church on Cunda Adasi, an island just off the coast, will make you think you`re in Venice.

Troy

Converted into a national park with flower gardens, walking trails, viewing terraces and a museum, Troy makes a perfect day trip.
